First time trying one of my Tutorials? Then please check my Terms of Use before you continue

You will need:

Font of your choice - I used one called A T & Love

Tube of your choice - I will be using the artwork of Gaetano Di Falco

Unfortunately he no longer sells his art in tube format

Filters:

Mura's Meister/Copies

Eye Candy 6/Gradient Glow (optional)

Filter Factory A/Spotlight

Ok let's begin

Open a New Image 600x250 ... Paste your Tube as a New Layer

Effects> Mura's Meister> Copies ... *Wall Paper(rotate) ... default settings

Edit> Repeat Copies ... same settings as above

Adjust> Blur> Motion Blur ... with the following settings

Effects> Edge Effects> Enhance More

Selections> Select All ... Selections> Clip to Canvas

Image> Crop to Selection

Rename this layer Background ... Layers> Duplicate ... Rename this layer Spotlight

Effects> Filter Factory A> Spotlight ... with the following settings

(If your Background is pretty dark you may wish to make the Inner Grain a higher number

for example in my sample at the bottom of the page I changed it to 210)

Hide this layer for the time being ... Layers> New Raster

Make a Custom Selection with the following settings

Flood Fill this Selection with White ... Selections> Select None

Effects> Mura's Meister> Copies ... *Line ... default settings

Change this layers Blend Mode to Soft Light

Selections> Select All> ... Selections> Float ... Selections> Defloat

Activate the Background layer ... Selection> Promote Selection To Layer

Layers> Arrange> Move Up

Now you can do a Drop Shadow here or a Gradient Glow it's your choice

Effects> 3D Effects Drop Shadow ... 0, 0, 100, 4, Color of your choice ... repeat 4-5 Times

Effects> Eye Candy 6> Gradient Glow ... with the following settings

I used Gradient Glow on the Example above and Drop Shadow on the one below

(I prefer Gradient Glow its cleaner)

Activate the Top layer ... Layers> Merge> Merge Down

Rename this layer V Lines ... Layers> New Raster

Make a Custom Selection with the following settings

If you are not happy with the thickness of the Selection play around with the Top & Bottom

Flood Fill this Selection with White ... Selections> Select None

Change this layers Blend Mode to Soft Light

Selections> Select All> ... Selections> Float ... Selections> Defloat

Activate the Background layer ... Selection> Promote Selection To Layer

Selections> Select None

Apply the same Drop Shadow or Gradient Glow as you did on the V Lines layer

In your layer palette move this layer to above the V Lines layer

Activate the Top layer ... Layers> Merge> Merge Down ... Rename this layer H Line

Paste your Tube as a New Layer, position on either side of your Tag

And apply a suitable Drop Shadow

Layers> New Raster Layer ... Flood Fill with dark color from your Tube

Selections> Select All ... Selections> Modify> Contract by 1

Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise ... with the following settings

Selections> Select All ... Selections> Clip to Canvas ... Image> Crop to Selection
