You will need:

Font of your choice - I used one called Sick Capital Vice

Tube of your choice - I will be using the artwork of Jennifer Janesko

License and Tubes available at Creative Design Outlet

 

Filters:

Eye Candy 6: Textures/Swirl

DSB Flux/Bright Noise

xero/Porcelain

 

 

 

Ok let's begin

Change your Foreground and Background to 2 colors from your Tube

Open a New Image 600x250

Make a Custom Selection with the following settings

 

 

Flood Fill this Selection with your Foreground color

Selections> Modify> Contract by 5 ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

 

 

Make a Custom Selection with the following settings

 

 

Flood Fill this Selection with your Background color

Selections> Modify> Contract by 4 ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

 

 

Image> Free Rotate ... with the following settings

 

 

Layers> Duplicate

Effects> Image Effects> Offset ... with the following settings

 

 

Layers> Duplicate

Effects> Image Effects> Offset ... with the same settings as above

Layers> Merge> Merge Visible

 

 

Effects> Image Effects> Offset ... with the following settings

 

 

Layers> Duplicate ... Image> Mirror ... Image> Flip

Layers> Merge> Merge Down ... Rename this layer SquareFrames

Change your Foreground color to a 3rd from your Tube ... Layers> New Raster Layer

Flood Fill this layer with your Foreground color

 

 

Effects> Eye Candy 6: Textures> Swirl

Click on the "Settings" tab and then on the "Settings Tour (seamless tile)" folder then click on

"Painterly: Random Twists" so it is highlighted blue

Click on the "Basic" tab and match the settings below ... be sure to click the "Random Seed" button once as well

 

 

Rename this layer Background ... Activate the SquareFrames layer

Select your Magic Wand Tool ... with the following settings

 

 

Click once on the left side of the squares on the left ... you should have this

 

 

Selections> Modify> Expand by 2

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and position making sure what you want to keep is inside the Selection

Selections> Invert ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

Layers> Arrange> Move Down

 

 

Activate the Squares layer ... Click once on the right side of the squares on the right ... you should have this

 

 

Selections> Modify> Expand by 2

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and position making sure what you want to keep is inside the Selection

Selections> Invert ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

Layers> Arrange> Move Down ... Layers> Merge Down

Change this layers Blend Mode to Luminance(L)

 

 

Change your Foreground back to the color you set it to at the start of the Tutorial

With your Magic Wand Tool still active ...Activate the SquareFrames layer again

Click once in the middle of each square until you have this selection

 

 

Selections> Modify> Expand by 3 ... Layers> New Raster Layer

Activate your Flood Fill Tool ... with the following settings

 

 

Flood Fill the Selections like so

Foreground color frames with Background color

Background color frames with Foreground color

Selections> Select None ... Layers> Arrange> Move Down

Rename this layer Squares

 

 

Effects> Eye Candy 6: Textures> Swirl ... same settings as earlier, be sure to click the

"Random Seed" button once as well

Activate the SquareFrames layer again

Duplicate this layer twice (for a total of 3) ... Activate the SquareFrames layer again

Effects> DSB Flux> Bright Noise ... with the following settings

 

 

Activate the Copy of SquareFrames layer ... Edit> Repeat Bright Noise ... click on the Mix button once then OK

Activate the Copy (2) of SquareFrames layer ... Edit> Repeat Bright Noise ... click on the Mix button once then OK

Selections> Select None ... Hide the 2 Top SquareFrames layers for now

 

 

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and move into a suitable position

Effects> xero> Porcelain ... change Blue Channel to 0

Apply a suitable Drop Shadow

 

 

Layers> New Raster Layer ... Flood Fill with your Foreground color

Selections> Select All ... Selections> Modify> Contract by 3 ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard

Selections> Modify> Expand by 1 ... Selections> Invert

Flood Fill the Selection with your Background color

Effects> DSB Flux> Bright Noise ... same settings as before

 

 

Selections> Invert ... Selections> Modify> Expand by 1 ... Selections> Invert

Layers> New Layer ... Flood Fill the Selection with your Foreground color

Selections> Select None ... Layers> Merge> Merge Down

 

 

I applied a slight Drop Shadow to make my border stand out

Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow ... 0, 0, 100, 2, White

Add Copyrights and your Name

 

 

 

ANIMATING


Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Now open Animation Shop ... Edit> Paste> As New Animation



Return to PSP and unhide the Copy of SquareFrames layer ... Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop ... Edit> Paste> After Current Frame



Return to PSP and unhide the Copy (2) of SquareFrames layer ... Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop ... Edit> Paste> After Current Frame

And that's it. All that's left is to save your Tag ... If you wish to Preview it first View> Animation
