You will need:

Font and Tube of choice

I will be using the awesome artwork of Victoria Flores

Filters:

VM Natural/Cross Weave

AAA Frames/Foto Frame

Ok let’s begin

Open a new image 500x200

Select your Flood Fill Tool and change your

Background color to a Light color from your Tube and

Foreground color to a dark color from your Tube.

 

 

Click on the Foreground color again and change it to gradient ... with the following settings

 

Effects> VM Natural> Cross Weave ... with the following settings

 

Now select your Magic Wand Tool ... with the following settings



Click inside the transparent part of your image

Flood Fill selection with your Gradient you made at the start of this tutorial

 

Selections> Invert ... Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

Apply a Drop Shadow ... with the following settings



Rename this layer “VM” ... Duplicate layer twice

 

Activate the “VM” layer

Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise ... with the following settings

 

Now select the "Copy of VM" layer

and apply Add Noise again ... with the following settings

 

Then select the "Copy (2) of VM" layer

and again apply Add Noise ... with the following settings

Layers> New Raster Layer

Select your Flood Fill Tool again and create a Gradient with same settings

As before but different (contrasting) colors

I will be using a light Beige as my Background color and

a darker Beige as my Foreground color ... Flood Fill layer with this Gradient

Effects> Texture Effects> Fur ... with the following settings



Layers> Arrange> Send To Bottom ... Rename this layer “Background”

Select your Tube image ... Edit> Copy ... Go back to your Tag

Edit> Paste as new layer

 

 

Move this layer between the “Background” and “VM”

Layers in your layer palette

Move the Tube over to the right side of your tag

Rename this layer Tube

 

Layers> Duplicate ... Image> Mirror ... Layers> Arrange> Bring To Top

Crop your image 500x200

Effects> AAA Frames> Foto Frame ... with the following settings



To ALL layers except for the “Background” layer

Activate the "Copy of Tube" layer

Selections> select all

Selections> Modify> Select Selections Border ... with these settings



Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

Activate the "Copy (2) of VM" layer

Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

 

Activate the "Copy of VM" layer

Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

 

Activate the "VM" layer

Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

Activate the "Tube" layer

Hit the DELETE button on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

 

Layers> Merge> Merge Down

(Will merge the “Tube” and “Background” layers together)

Layer> New Raster Layer

Add Copyrights and your Name to this layer

Layers> Arrange> Bring to Top

Layers> Merge> Merge Down

Now your layer palette should look like this from top to bottom

Copy of Tube

Copy (2) of VM

Copy of VM

VM

Tube

Background

 

Now it’s time to save your Tag ready to be animated

File> Save As ... under "File Type" choose PSP Animation Shop (*psp.)
