Hana Swipe (2013)

First time trying one of my Tutorials? Then please check my Terms of Use before you continue

You will need:

Font of your choice - I used one called Beast Impacted

Tube of your choice - I will be using the artwork of Robert Freeman

This artist is not currently selling their art in Tube Format

My Selection HERE ... Unzip & Save the Selection into your Selections folder

Filters:

Eye Candy 6: Textures/Swirl

Penta.com/VTR2

Ok let's begin

Change your Foreground to a Light color from your Tube

Change your Background to a Medium (darker) shade of your Foreground color

Change your Foreground to Foreground/Background Gradient ... with the following settings

Open a New Image 600x250 and Flood Fill it with your Gradient

Layers> Duplicate ... Activate the Bottom layer

Effects> Distortion Effects> Pixelate ... with the following settings

Effects> Edge Effects> Enhance ... Effects> Edge Effects> Enhance

Rename this layer Background ... Activate the Top layer

Effects> Texture Effects> Fur ... with the following settings

Change this layers Blend Mode to 60%

Effects> Eye Candy 6: Textures> Swirl ... with the following settings

Rename this layer VTR ... Layers> Duplicate

Activate the VTR layer ... Load the Selection I provided at the start of this Tutorial (Spawns-HanaSwipe)

With these settings

Effects> Penta.com> VTR2 ... with the following settings

Selections> Invert ... Activate the Copy of VTR layer

Effects> Penta.com> VTR2 ... with the same settings as before

Selections> Select None ... Hide the Copy of VTR layer

Paste your Tube as New Layer, move to a suitable position and apply a suitable Drop Shadow

Layers> New Raster ... Flood Fill with your Background color ... Selections> Select All

Selections> Modify> Contract by 2

Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise ... with the following settings

Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow ... 0, 0, 100, 4, Black

Add Copyrights and your Name

Hide all layers apart from Background and VTR

ANIMATING

Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged ... Now open Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> As New Animation

Return to PSP hide the VTR layer and unhide the Copy of VTR layer

Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop ... Edit> Paste> After Current Frame

Activate the 1st frame by clicking on it once

Effects> Insert Image Transition ... with the following settings

Click on the Customize Button

Click on Ok then on OK again

Edit> Select All ... Edit> Copy ... Activate the last frame by clicking on it once

Edit> Paste> After current Frame ... Animation> Reverse Frames

Return to PSP and unhide all layers apart from Background ... VTR ... Copy of VTR

(Make sure those 3 are hidden)

Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop ... Edit> Paste> As New Animation

Hold down CTRL and keep pressing L until you have 24 frames

Edit> Select All ... Edit> Copy

Activate your Tag

Edit> Select All ... Edit> Paste> Into Selected Frames ... move into position and click once

And that's it. All that's left is to save your Tag ... If you wish to Preview it first View> Animation
