You will need:

Font of your choice - I used one called Federation DS9

Tube of your choice - I will be using the artwork of Ismael Rac

License and Tubes available now available at Scraps and Company

My selection which you can get HERE ... unzip into your Selections folder


Filters:

Penta/Dot and Cross

Eye Candy 6/Gradient Glow

Mura's Meister/Perspective Tiling

DSB Flux/Bright Noise

 



Ok let's begin

Open a New Image 100x50

Flood Fill with a color from your Tube

Selections> Select All

Selections> Modify> Contract ... by 5

Hit DELETE on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

 

Image> Canvas Size ... with the following settings



Effects> Penta> Dot and Cross ... default settings

Effects> Eye Candy 6> Gradient Glow ... with the following settings

Click on the "Settings" tab and select the following

Simple (thin) - Black

Click on the "Basic" tab

change the Glow Radius to 4
and the Color to a color from your Tube

and click on ok

 

Effects> Mura's Meister> Perspective Tiling ... default settings

Make a Custom Selection ... with the following

Top - 0
Right - 600
Bottom - 125
Left - 0

Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

Layers> Duplicate ... Image> Flip ... Layers> Merge> Merge visible

Rename this layer "Frame"

 

Layers> New Raster Layer ... Rename this layer "flux"

Activate your Flood Fill Tool

Set your Foreground to a color from your Tube and Background to White

Click on the Foreground Color again and change it to Gradient ... with the following settings

Style - Linear
Angle - 0
Repeats - 5
Invert - unchecked

Flood Fill the "flux" layer with your Gradient

 

Effects> Texture Effects> Fur ... with the following settings

Blur - 95
Density - 58
Length - 9
Transparency - 3

Drag this layer to the bottom in your layer palette

Duplicate this layer twice (for a total of 3)

Activate the "flux" layer

Load the selection I provided at the start of this Tutorial

 

Effects> dsb flux> Bright Noise ... with the following settings

Intensity - 30
Direction - Mix

Activate the "Copy of flux" layer

Effects> dsb flux> Bright Noise ... click on the Mix button once then on ok

Activate the "Copy (2) of flux" layer

Effects> dsb flux> Bright Noise ... click on the Mix button once then on ok

Selections> Select None ... Hide the 2 top flux layers for now

 

Paste your Tube as a new layer

Layers>Arrange> Bring to Top (if not already at top in your palette)

Move your Tube to the Left side of your Tag and apply a suitable Drop Shadow

Crop image 600x250 ... Layers> New Raster Layer

Selections> Select All

 

 

Selections> Modify> Select Selection Borders ... with the following settings

Inside
Anti Alias - checked
Border Width - 5

Flood Fill White ... Selections> Select None

 

Layers> New Raster Layer ... Selections> Select All

Selections> Modify> Select Selection Borders ... with the following settings

Inside
Anti Alias - checked
Border Width - 4

Flood Fill with a color from your Tube ... Selections> Select None

 

Effects> Penta> Dot and Cross ... default settings

Layers> Merge> Merge Down ... Layers> New Raster Layer

Selections> Select All

Selections> Modify> Select Selection Borders ... with the following settings

Inside
Anti Alias - checked
Border Width - 1

 

Flood Fill White ... Selections> Select None ... Layers> Merge> Merge Down

Add Copyrights and your Name


 


ANIMATING

Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Now open Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> As New Animation

Return to PSP hide the "flux" layer and unhide the "Copy of flux" layer
Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> After Current Frame

Return to PSP hide the "Copy of flux" layer and unhide the "Copy (2) of flux" layer
Edit> Copy Special> Copy Merged

Go back to Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> After Current Frame

And that's it all that's left is to save your Tag ... If you wish to Preview it first View> Animation
