You will need:

Font of your choice - I used one called GE TravelScript

Tube of your choice - I will be using the artwork of Psyco Jimi - License and Tubes available at MTA

 

 

Ok let's begin

Open a New Image 600x250 ... Flood Fill with a Dark color from your Tube

Effects> Texture Effects> Weave ... with the following settings

Gap Size - 1

Width - 4

Opacity - 10

Weave and Gap colors - light shade of your dark color

Fill Gaps - checked

 

 

Layers> New Raster Layer

Make a Custom Selection ... with the following settings

 

 

 

 

Flood Fill this Selection with the color White ... Selections> Select None

Effects> Distortion Effects> Wave ... with the following settings

 

 

Rename this layer Wave ... Layers> Duplicate

Effects> Image Effects> Offset ... with the following settings

 

 

Activate the Wave layer again ... Selections> Select All ... Selections> Float ... Selections> Defloat

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and position suitably over the Selection

Selections> Invert ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

 

 

Activate the Copy of Wave layer ... Selections> Select All ... Selections> Float ... Selections> Defloat

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and position suitably over the Selection

Selections> Invert ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard ... Selections> Select None

 

 

Hide the Background layer ... Layers> Merge> Merge Visible

Rename this layer Waves ... Unhide the Background layer

Activate the Top layer and change the layers Blend Mode to Luminance (L) or Luminance, whichever you prefer

And also lower the layers Opacity to 50%

 

 

Paste your Tube as a New Layer and position to the Right of your Tag

Apply a suitable Drop Shadow ... Crop image 600x250

 

 

Layers> New Raster Layer ... Flood Fill with your Dark color

Selections> Select All ... Selections> Modify> Contract by 2 ... Hit DELETE on your keyboard

Selections> Select None

 

 

Apply a Drop Shadow with the following settings

 

 

Add Copyrights and your Name

Activate the Waves layer and select your Magic Wand Tool ... with the following settings

 

 

Click once between the two waves and once to the left of the left wave

Should look like this

 

 

Activate the Background layer ... Selections> Promote Selection to Layer

Selections> Select None ... with the promoted layer active Edit> Copy

 

 

 

ANIMATING

Open Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> As New Animation ... Effects> Insert Image Effects

 

Click on the Customize button

 

 

Change the first 10 waves to the following

Wave 1: X -42 ... Y 19

Wave 2: X 7 ... Y -40

Wave 3: X 19 ... Y 31

Wave 4: X -38 ... Y -24

Wave 5: X -15 ... Y 51

Wave 6: X 43 ... Y -10

Wave 7: X -24 ... Y -63

Wave 8: X -61 ... Y -1

Wave 9: X -36 ... Y 46

Wave 10: X -61 ... Y -17

 

Set all other waves to X 0 ... Y 0

DELETE the first Frame



Return to PSP and DELETE the Promoted layer

Hide all layers apart from the Background and Waves layers

Edit> Copy> Copy Merged



Go back to Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> As New Animation

Hold down CTRL and keep pressing L until you have the same amount of frames as your animation (should be 10)

 

Activate your animation ... Edit> Select All ... Edit> Copy

Activate your Tag ... Edit> Select All ...Edit> Paste> Into Selected Frames

Move into position and click once (I zoomed in to help with positioning)

You can delete the animation only image now as you don't need it

 

Return to PSP

Unhide the Hidden layers and Hide the Background and Waves layers

Edit> Copy Merged

 

Go to Animation Shop

Edit> Paste> As New Animation

Hold down CTRL and keep pressing L until you have the same amount of frames as your Tag

Edit> Select All ... Edit> Copy

 

Activate your Tag

Edit> Select All ... Edit> Paste> Into Selected Frames ... move into position and click once

Animation> Frame Properties ... change to 17

And that's it. All that's left is to save your Tag ... If you wish to Preview it first View> Animation
